Trees:

Okay i know you all think im crazy for having my tree up back in early OCT, but you all dont have haston asking you everyday for the millionth time "where is the xmas tree mommy??" So, i caved. But, i did great alittle creative. Instead of looking at a xmas tree for 3 monthes i made it a holiday tree. We put halloween decorations on it. It was awesome.! It had skeletons, bugs, spiders, webs, pumpkins, ghosts, orange lites, everything a 3year old boy could ask for. every morning he would wake up and come and sit in front of it and ask me to make it shinny.(lites)
So, know that Halloween is over, i considered doing something thanksgiving-ish with it but changed my mind. Way to much effort and he is very happy looking at a xmas tree for 2 monthes. He was a super helper putting on the new decorations. Once i got the lites on he was incharge of putting the balls were he wanted them to go. Was a very big job let me tell you. He would take a ball, stnad back from tree, put his hand on his chin, hmmm and haaaaa for a minute, then pick his place. All of the balls were placed on space of 3 limbs before i was able to talk him into let me help out alittle. then he would point, and say"put it there mommy, yes, right there." Oh boy, i think i might be introuble with my own personal decorator. :) when all was said and done, and we put the star on it, he says to me, "mommy, it's done and its beautiful. love you!"
now we just need some presents under it so it doesnt look so sad all by it self........ hint hint all you out there.......:) i'm a very lucky girl to have such a cute funny kid. i have more blessings than i deserve im sure but i will take all i can get!

Jones family update from Texas:

We are back safe and sound. Did not have any more car problems on trip back and got home in about 22 hrs. It was a long 2 days. H came back with a cold, Jer with allergies and come to find out, either myself or the bacteria in my tooth, from the root canal I had before I left, is resistent to penicillin. So I now have a seriously swollen tongue, face and double chin. And it is painful. Reminds me of the bells palsy, except for the pain part. Fun times. Doc is putting me on another kind of antibiotic but looks like I will be spending 4th July weekend with a fat face. :(
We had a great time in Utah with the family. I have way too many pics to post or blog so will work on getting them on snapfish or flickr. But here is one with most of the greatgrandkids, and one of my little family. (For taking it ourself, I think it turned out pretty well.) Love to all and cant wait for next time.

quick update:

howdy! we are alive and doing well in Moab, Utah. Anna and Vic set a beautiful house. The boys r having a great time together and it is great to see our old friends again. We arrived yesterday in time to have vic's famous bbq and a few drinks. slept well in their new trailer, little more privacy then if in one of the rooms. We are very comfortable and having a great time. Both boys are currently on portable frog pottys watching wallis and grommit and i just came in from playing bocci balls outside. When i left we were tied up 3-3. Vic took over for me and im sure he and jer will kick trash. even though vic's dad is a pro player. Plan on leaving Moab round 1ish tomrw and headed towards Provo. Cant wait to see ya'll soon!

Fajita time to make lizzy proud:

Okay, i didnt think to take pictures of the food cause im just not good like that but i've been craving mexican food lately so i dragged jer and h to this mexican super plaza to get all the fixin's and then we went across the street to this to tortilleria where they make them fresh and cheap. lots of pointing and grunting to get what i want across but we basicly spoke the same language.. sorta. anyway, now we had all the stuff but no grill and no one to share with. so i invited our neighbors down the street with 2 kids and the parents are real cool and laid back. the oldest is a girl age 13 and just might watch h this summer if her bowling doesnt inflict to much. shes gunna be the next big thing im told. her avarage is like 175. i've never even bowled over 100... ever.. that shames me a little. and the other kids a boy around 7-8ish. he is h new best friend. h is always asking for tyson. can we play with tyson mommy??? pleezzzz???? hard to resist. and they actually get along great cause they play kinda rough and h loves it. and... they have a grill!!! so we had lots of food, all fresh from the mexicans and jer helped cut up the veggies and mom, i made homeade quacamole.... with all the stuff in it. was freaking awesome. could have almost ate it all by myself. it all turned out good except the steak was little tough.. ohwell. we still ate all the chix and went through a whole bag of tostitos with the quac and salsa... Anyway, sorry to go on about our meal but i was proud that it turned out so well. And i wanted lizzy to be proud of me. :)
